Child Maria Al-Assar was pulled from under the rubble of her home, being the sole survivor of a massacre against her family. Israeli occupation aircraft conducted a series of airstrikes targeting the residential building of the Al-Assar family in Al-Nuseirat camp, in addition to damaging several neighboring homes during the early hours of the afternoon on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. This resulted in the martyrdom of more than 12 individuals from the Al-Assar family, all from the same family, as well as several members of the Abu Matar family who had sought refuge in the Al-Assar home. Most of the casualties were women and children, alongside dozens of injured individuals and a large number of missing persons.
