On October 9, 2023, Israeli occupation forces bombed the International Eye Hospital, completely destroying its building. On May 2, 2024, the hospital administration announced the reopening of the center after its destruction, now operating in Jabalia Refugee Camp in northern Gaza.
On June 14, 2024, the hospital’s Facebook page shared images showing the destruction caused by Israeli forces to the "International Eye Center" clinic in Jabalia. On July 3, 2024, the hospital’s Facebook page announced the resumption of the clinic’s operations in Jabalia.
