On November 23, 2023, Israeli occupation aircraft targeted Imam Al-Shafi'i Mosque in Al-Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City without prior warning or notice. The attack resulted in the destruction of the mosque and significant damage to the neighboring buildings.
