On 18/9/2024, Israeli occupation warplanes targeted Ibn Al-Haytham School in Al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, which was sheltering many displaced persons, without prior warning or notice. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of 8 people, including 5 children and 2 women, the injury of dozens, the destruction of the school, and significant damage to neighboring buildings.
