On October 10, 2023, during its aggression on Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation forces committed a massacre in Al-Karama neighborhood. Israeli aircraft and artillery launched a continuous barrage of airstrikes, creating a wide fire belt that targeted residential buildings and access roads to the neighborhood, preventing rescue and medical teams from reaching the area to assist the victims.

Palestinian activists and official platforms documented scenes showing the extent of the destruction, as well as the recovery of martyrs and injured individuals from Al-Karama neighborhood, indicating that the area experienced near-total annihilation.

The Israeli forces used internationally banned white phosphorus bombs in the bombardment of this neighborhood.
