During the Israeli ground invasion of Gaza City, Israeli forces destroyed Abu Mazen Roundabout Street in Tal al-Hawa. They conducted military operations including excavation, constructing sand barriers, firing tank shells, and launching incendiary bombs from aircraft. This led to significant changes to the street's features and the destruction of several educational and international institutions, including Lulwa Abdul Wahab School, which had several martyrs from the Kafarna and Al-Masri families, Suad Al-Sabah School, and the Turkish Relief Organization.
