On the third anniversary of the beginning of the genocidal war against the Gaza Strip, we confront a human tragedy whose victims have yet to receive justice, and a legal and moral test whose demands the international community must no longer evade. Behind every destroyed home is a life uprooted; behind every name on the lists of victims is a person with dreams, a family, and a future; and behind every survivor is a right to protection and redress that must never be reduced to a number.
