The mosque was established in 620 AH. Despite its small size, it is one of the oldest mosques and historical landmarks in the Gaza Strip. It is located in the Zaitoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City, and is adjacent to the Great Omari Mosque, which was destroyed by the occupation during this aggression.
Israeli occupation aircraft targeted Othman Qashqar Mosque in the Old City of Gaza, resulting in its complete destruction, turning it into a pile of rubble.
