Al-Sham‘a Mosque, also known as Bab Al-Darim Mosque, is a historic mosque located in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in the Old City of Gaza. The mosque does not have a minaret and was built on March 3, 1315 CE by the Mamluk governor of Gaza, Sanjar Al-Jawli.
On 7 December 2023, Israeli occupation aircraft targeted the historic Al-Sham‘a Mosque in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City, resulting in its complete destruction.
