Established in 1999 as the first officially designed turf stadium in Gaza, it was first bombed by Israeli occupation aircraft in April 2006. The stadium was subjected to renewed bombing in March 2024, causing significant damage after several airstrikes targeted it.

Israeli occupation aircraft targeted Beit Hanoun Stadium in northern Gaza Strip, resulting in its complete destruction. The stadium had previously been subjected to destruction and bombing six times since 2012. It is now entirely out of service following its latest destruction by Israeli occupation forces during 2024 war in Gaza.

Israeli occupation forces targeted and destroyed Al-Yarmouk Stadium in Gaza City. One of the oldest Palestinian stadiums, it was built in 1952 and has a capacity of 9,000 spectators. The stadium suffered heavy bombing from Israeli occupation aircraft, which targeted the southern side of the stadium and the eastern stands, resulting in extensive damage.
