This section addresses the massacres targeting medical teams and civil defense personnel while performing their humanitarian duties of rescuing the wounded and assisting civilians, in blatant violation of international law. International humanitarian law stipulates that individuals engaged in medical missions must always be respected and protected, and that medical personnel must not be punished for providing medical care. There are provisions in international humanitarian law that obligate the occupying power to supply medical resources to the population. Since October 7, 2023, Israeli occupation forces have killed more than one thousand doctors, nurses, health workers, and civil defense personnel.
