The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) stated that the Gaza Strip has become the most dangerous place for children in the world, and a UNICEF official said, "A child suffering from illness in Gaza is condemned to a slow death because they cannot receive the treatment they need, and it is unlikely they will survive long enough to leave." Since October 7, 2023, Israeli occupation forces have killed more than sixteen thousand Palestinian children.

Child Martyrs in Deir Al-Balah

A massacre against Ziada family in Deir Al-Balah on October 29, 2023, claimed the lives of all family members, most of whom were children. Residents were able to identify the bodies of the children because their names were written on their bodies.

Children of Natiel Family

Israeli occupation aircraft bombed the house of Natiel family in Deir al-Balah on October 22, 2023, without prior warning. Anticipating the occupation’s disregard for civilian lives and its potential for sudden aggression, the children’s families wrote their names on their legs to identify them in case their home was targeted. Indeed, the occupation killed the following children:

Child Martyrs from Ashour Family

On November 28, 2023, Israeli occupation aircraft targeted the house of Ashour family in Al-Shaboura camp in the center of Rafah City, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of dozens, most of whom were children.

One-Week-Old Infant at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital

On November 28, 2023, Israeli occupation aircraft bombed the neonatal unit at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of a one-week-old infant, whose identity remains unknown, along with several other infants in the unit.

Massacre at School in Al-Bureij Refugee Camp

On November 20, 2023, Israeli occupation aircraft bombed a school in Al-Bureij refugee camp, located in the southern Gaza Strip. The attack resulted in dozens of casualties, with most of the martyrs and injured being women and children.

A Girl from the Al-Da’alis Family

On October 19, 2023, Israeli occupation aircraft bombed a house belonging to the Al-Da’alis family near Al-Ahli Club in Al-Nuseirat refugee camp, leading to its destruction along with neighboring homes. The attack resulted in the martyrdom of seven civilians.

A child dies on a rain-soaked journey as his family flees their home on an animal-drawn cart, forced to leave due to the Israeli occupation’s mass displacement of thousands of Palestinians from northern Gaza to the south.

A Child Rescued After 9 Days

Following an Israeli airstrike on a house in Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City, a child was rescued from the rubble after spending 9 days trapped beneath the debris, following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area.
