Women
According to international humanitarian law, including the 1949 Geneva Conventions and Additional Protocols, wounded women are granted special protection during armed conflicts. These agreements stipulate that they must be treated humanely and provided with the necessary medical care without any discrimination. The agreements also prohibit any physical or psychological assaults against women, particularly the wounded, and consider targeting them or neglecting their treatment a serious violation of international law.
